Our Facilities
The design of our campus reflects how we teach and learn. The Auditorium is a key feature where we come together for school assemblies or performances for parents. Our classrooms have lots of natural light and big windows, which create a bright, open atmosphere. It allows us to see what other classes are working on, which creates a sense of openness and collaboration. Outside, children can explore nature by rummaging in leaves, playing with insects, building sand castles, climbing our parcours, or enjoying games like football and scooter rides on the paved areas.

Built for growth
As a growing international school, our facilities are designed to support the future expansion of our Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary programmes, ensuring we can meet the evolving needs of our students and continue providing high-quality education.
Classrooms
All Pre-Primary classes connect with the outside space to allow for learning in and outside of the classroom, and have a mezzanine area for circle time and listening to stories. Our Primary classes are spacious and allow for dedicated areas for carpet time, group work and individual learning while our Secondary students have a separate learning space and use facilities in the main building and the neighbouring Ghent University campus.

Auditorium
School assemblies, choir practice, information sessions, presentations and our Winter and International Festival shows! Our large central staircase is where our community comes together to share and entertain!
Music room
All classes come to our well-resourced and dedicated music room once a week for their music lesson. With space to move and play, students can explore rhythm, melody, and instruments in this creative space!

Sports hall
Our sports classes take place at ISG in our spacious gymnasium, where students have plenty of room to develop their skills, from team sports and games, to fitness exercises and parcours.
Learning Support rooms
With a dedicated learning support teacher and specially designed learning support rooms, children can receive extra assistance tailored to their needs—whether it’s developing English language skills or receiving support for special educational needs.

Library
We want all children at ISG to love reading! Each week, classes visit our cosy library to browse and borrow books from our large range of reading material for all ages and interests.
Playgrounds
Break times outside are an integral and important part of each school day, giving children the chance to recharge, play, and explore. Our outdoor spaces include a mix of natural and paved areas, allowing for a variety of activities. Covered areas provide shelter on rainy days, ensuring that outdoor play remains a daily part of school life, no matter the weather!

Cafeteria
Our cafeteria is a bright and welcoming space where our children can come together to eat. Lunchtime is an important social part of the day, giving students a chance to relax, chat with friends, and enjoy their meals in a friendly, community atmosphere.
“You have helped to make our stay in this city unforgettable, as I have said several times, we have felt part of a big family, I hope the school will continue to apply these principles!”
– Feedback from the Martinez family from Spain, whose two children spent four years at ISG
