Secondary Curriculum
In September 2023, we proudly expanded our community with ISG+, our Secondary School. Building on the strong foundation of our Primary School, ISG+ ensures a smooth transition for students to further grow, learn, and thrive in secondary education. We follow the Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate.
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
The Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate is a highly regarded and widely recognized curriculum that provides a challenging and engaging framework. It encourages students to make real-world connections, think critically, and develop lifelong learning skills while fostering international-mindedness, interdisciplinary learning, and personal growth.
At ISG+, we currently offer MYP Years 2 to 5, also referred to as Years 7 to 10. As an authorized IB World School, we offer the full MYP programme, ensuring a seamless and enriching learning journey for our growing student community.
Facilities
Our Secondary School building offers warm and welcoming classrooms, creating an inspiring space where learning begins. With a close-knit environment, students feel supported and connected. We also share facilities with the Primary School, reinforcing our identity as one unified and supportive learning community.
To further enhance our students’ learning experiences, we are proud to collaborate with the University of Ghent, allowing our students to use their advanced Biology and Chemistry laboratories. This partnership enriches our science programme, giving students the opportunity to engage in hands-on lab work in a professional environment. Our students gain valuable practical experience, enhancing their scientific skills.
Field Trips
Our field trips are designed to enhance both learning and community. Visits to cultural and historical landmarks, such as the contemporary and fine arts museums and the KAA Gent Stadion, are directly linked to our IB units, bringing lessons to life in a real-world context.
Additionally, trips like ice skating and beach retreats focus on team-building and fostering a strong sense of belonging within our school community. These experiences encourage students to collaborate, grow together, and deepen their connections with one another.
Workshops & Guest Speakers
Every year we invite a diverse range of guest speakers, including parents, local professionals, and experts from outside our community, to share their specialized knowledge and enrich our students’ learning. These speakers offer valuable insights directly connected to our course material, providing real-world perspectives that inspire and deepen understanding.
We also host workshops on important topics such as online safety and inclusion, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate today’s world. This approach broadens learning opportunities and strengthens the connection between our students, the ISG+ community, and the wider world.

What year levels does the Secondary school offer?
We currently offer Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 which correspond to Years 2, 3, 4 & 5 of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). We also aim to expand our offerings in Ghent to include the final two years of Secondary, the Diploma Programme (DP), in the near future.
What age group or grade level corresponds to each year in the MYP programme?

What is covered by the tuition fees?
Tuition fees cover all essential school materials, including books, workbooks, and day trips.
Not included: Lunch, after-school clubs, and overnight trips.
