The lead up to the holiday period has been all go, go, go! The children first finished their presentations on ancient clothing, which brought us straight into our Exit Point. Children wore their favourite clothes or traditional clothing from their home countries. They all spoke about their choice of clothing with pride. Following this the children made bean bags and flowers, all hand sewn by themselves.
We were very busy preparing for our Christmas party. We made a range of decorations, from a Christmas tree to masks. When the moment came for the children to sing they felt shy, then excited, then very happy to sing in front of their parents. We sang 'Santa Won't You Bring a Dinosaur'. It was a difficult song but they sang it fabulously and with much enthusiasm. Well done!
With the ice-skating rink open in Ghent city we took the children there as an end of the year treat. They reported back that it was so much fun! They felt that their parents would have been so proud to see them learn to skate!
CThis week, Chimnay and Natalie tested their Lego skills again and were both deeply involved in their constructions.
This week we celebrated Anika's Birthday, her parents brought in a delicious cake and the kids enjoyed another celebration.
The academic year of 2015 has come to an end and I would like to wish you all a lovely holiday and a very happy and healthy 2016.
