Broadening our minds

History is intriguing!
We have been working very hard on the history of chocolate and the children are fascinated. They have been learning about The Mayas, The Aztecs, Christopher Columbus and Hernan Cortes. In literacy, Year 2 have been working very hard on question words and punctuation marks which is leading to strong writing skills. Year 3 have been focusing on daily routines and understanding the use of the present simple.

During numeracy class Year 3 are learning multiplication through problem solving and this is developing multiplicative thinking in the pupils. Year 2 are also working on problem solving with addition
Our personal goal this month is resilience and the children are truly showing how resilient they are!
