All About Me

We finished making our 'all about me' books, a great 'Exit point', the autumn season and more...

First I would like to give a warm welcome to Felipe who joined our class. Felipe arrived from Brazil and he loves dinosaurs. It is lovely to have you join us Felipe!

Over the last two weeks, we have been learning more about ourselves. We counted how many boys and girls we have in our class and discovered that we have more boys than girls. We also found out that there are names with one syllable such as Ming and Shane, while other names can have 4 syllables like Alexander. We were very busy working on our ‘all about me’ books and felt so proud to see them finished. Parents, we hope you liked them as well.

We have also been learning about ‘autumn’. We looked at autumn leaves and felt their texture. We learnt new songs and made some art with autumn leaves. We also practiced counting leaves and matched them to the correct number.

This week we have been learning about the ‘t’ sound. We made some lovely trees! We played a game in which the kids needed to look at pictures and recognize the first sound of the word. The children enjoyed sorting different pictures and deciding if it starts with ‘s’ ‘a’ or ‘t’ sound.

On Thursday we had our ‘Exit point’ from our first IPC Unit ‘All about me’. We celebrated with Miss Mia’s class, by singing songs together; we danced and played different games using our body. It was great fun!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, see you all on Monday.
