All about me (part 2)

All about me' unit is great fun!

During the last two weeks we have sung, played, learnt and created things related to our body. We love the new song “I have a body, a very busy body and it goes everywhere with me…”. We now know that we can blink with our eyes, sniff with our nose, clap with our hands and stamp with our feet!

We read a story about opposites and then we learnt about small and tall. The children had lots of fun looking at different pictures. They needed to decide whether the image was small or tall. We also walked like a tall giraffe and like a small mouse.

Last month we learnt our first personal goal ‘respect’. We watched a puppet show and realized that it is much nicer to be respectful to people as well as to toys. This week we talked about our second personal goal ‘resilience’. We watched a lovely short video about not giving up. It is so important to try again and again because when you do things by yourself - you can be proud! :)

We also started to learn the sound of some letters. We learnt the ‘s’ sound and created beautiful snakes. We also learnt the ‘a’ sound. We then practiced how to cut apples and stick it on the letter ‘a’.

I would like to thank all of you, kids and parents for an amazing teacher appreciation day! You made us feel so special.

It is a great honor to be your child's teacher! I am very lucky to work at a place that feels like a small community.

Thank you for your warm words, the best food, and your beautiful cards and flowers. You are incredible!!

Have a fantastic weekend, see you all on Monday.
